BRED FEMALE| OFFERING CHOICE OF TWO, LITTER 27 YORKSHIRE BRED GILT | A standout litter of Yorkshire gilts that had a remarkable Summer in 2021. When asked to offer one of these females, I took a pause and scratched my head for a few days. These gilts are out of “Jewel” which has contributed at a high level over her five years, and is still going strong. The sire of the 27 litter, Strut, previously at Olsen’s now stands in partnership at Kilmer Swine Farm. Of this litter was Mattea Antrup’s Reserve Champion Yorkshire and Fifth Overall Purebred Gilt at the Exposition, which went on to Louisville to be Reserve Champion Yorkshire Gilt at the NJSS. I did not hesitate to invest $15,000 to bring her back home to Flora, IN. Another littermate gilt shown by the Dalzell family brings $5,250 at the NSR Summer Type Conference. She was the only one cut loose from this deep litter: until now.
